CHS Mission Statement

Chanute High School, a community of USD #413, is committed to providing success for every student everyday

About Us

Chanute High School (CHS) is a part of a district that serves approximately 1,919 students and includes one elementary school, one pre-kindergarten center, one middle school and one alternative learning center. CHS serves 628 students in grades 9-12 with about 54% female and 46% male. The ethnic composition of CHS is over 90% white and the “reported” socioeconomic mix is comparable to the state average at about 32 % economically disadvantaged; however, because we offer an “open-lunch” period, many students who qualify do not apply and thus are not included. CHS would be more comparable to the district percent of Economically Disadvantaged students which is 43.41%.
